Turkey & Avocado Sandwich and Slow Dancing

My date went so well!  I wore a long sleeved, blue dress that is tight over my boobs and then flows loosely over the rest of my stomach and legs. I wore “high-rise” leggings that come up and cover my bag completely (also providing support for the bag which is why I love those particular leggings).  Boots and a scarf topped it off. One of my favorite outfits right now.

When I’d told my friends about our plans for dinner and a show they all said the same thing: That’s a long first date!  I wasn’t worried though, and I was right – the time flew by and all of a sudden it was like 1am and time to go home and sleep!  We met at a coffee shop, made our way to the restaurant (I had already scoured the menu to take the stress away from that), grabbed a coffee, went for a walk to kill time before the music started, then went and listened to a live band.  A nice lady came over toward the end of the evening and encouraged us to dance and introduced us to her friends so we did.  I am much better at standing in the corner and shifting my weight than at shaking it.  A slow song came on and the girl we’d met prodded us to slow dance. 7th grade much? It was fun though. Our conversation flowed like we’d known each other for years (disclaimer: we’d emailed A LOT before we met, so we had some conversation points to go off of).

I didn’t tell him about Coltrane though I did make a couple bathroom runs after dinner to make sure that we didn’t have any full bag problems.  Having my meal picked out ahead of time made me a lot more confident going to the restaurant. I picked something that didn’t require any modifications so there was no room for error on their end.  Wearing an outfit I’d worn before and was comfortable in helped a lot too.   I’m so excited to see him again!
